Monoprint
I work with many mediums including:
- monoprint (oil)
- water colour
- acrylic
- collage
- pastel, charcoal
- directly on photographs
The artwork is mostly in formats ranging from
7" x's 9" to 12" x's 18"
Monoprinting is a form of printmaking that has images or lines that can only be made once, unlike most printmaking, where there are multiple originals. There are many techniques of monoprinting. There are a number of standard printmaking techniques which can be used to make monoprints. I have, for all of the above pieces used a plexi-sheet with oil paints and various other painting techniques. My work is then transferred to an acid-free, top quality paper (Arches, Strathmore +) and put through a printing press. Often I will break with traditional methods producing images as shown in the above montage.
Most of the works range in size from 12 x`s 18 - 35 x`s 71cm.

Artists' books are works of art realized in the form of a book. They are often published in small editions, though sometimes they are produced as one-of-a-kind objects referred to as "uniques".Artists' books have employed a wide range of forms, including scrolls, fold-outs, concertinas or loose items contained in a box as well as bound printed sheet. Artists have been active in printing and book production for centuries, but the artist's book is primarily a late 20th century form.
